Keynote Speaker:
Shawn Dove
Chief Executive Officer of the Campaign for Black Male Achievement (Cbma)
The keynote speaker of the highly anticipated event will be Shawn Dove, the chief executive officer of the Campaign for Black Male Achievement (CBMA), a national membership organization committed to improving the life outcomes for Black men and boys. Under Dove’s leadership, CBMA has leveraged more than $212 million in national and local funds for Black Male Achievement, and has grown to include nearly 6,000 individual and 3,000 organizational members across the U.S. Among Dove’s key accomplishments are helping seed the launch of President Barack Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Initiative. He will be joined by Vanessa Echols of WFTV-Channel 9 who will serve as emcee.

Eyewitness News at Noon and 4 p.m. on Channel 9
Vanessa Echols has been a member of the Eyewitness News team since 1992 and currently anchor Eyewitness News at Noon and 4 p.m. on Channel 9. She was born in Auburn, Ala., and graduated from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Echols got her start in broadcasting at a country music radio station in Tuscaloosa and have worked at television stations in Georgia and Tennessee. She is very involved in the central Florida community: a frequent speaker at churches and schools and involved with several community service organizations, including UNCF and 100 Women Strong, a philanthropic giving circle. She also is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts.

Janie Lacy
CEO, Owner of Life Counseling Solutions
As a television commentator, Janie connects with viewers, and is sought after for her psychological insights and practical advice on topics ranging from mental health disorders to relationship challenges. Janie has impacted audiences through various local and national radio, news, and television programs. For example, she has lent her expertise to national shows such as: The Bill Cunningham Show, Daily Buzz and Emotional Mojo.
